The last stretch of the @myst.does.ai Smaugust prompt list, days 22 to 31. Ten prompts, forty-one pictures, and one gap: day 29 was Eclipse Dragon and it isn’t in this batch.
The whole month: Week One, days 1–7 · Week Two, days 8–14 · Week Three, days 15–21 · Week Four, days 22–31
Day 22 · Caravan Dragon

A vintage camper covered in stickers with a long green dragon wrapped around it under a full moon. The dragon is not the cargo. The dragon is why the trip is happening. The sunset one has string lights hung off its wing and plastic flamingos in the dirt, and that is a permanent address.
Day 23 · Volcanic Titan

Forest on the back, meadow down the flank, and a ridgeline that is actually a spine. There is a whole valley living on this thing. Somebody down there farms on it and calls it a hill. The caldera one is the same joke told the other way, where the mountain opens an eye.
Day 24 · Candycore

A pink compact with a jewelled violet lens inside it and a slit pupil in the middle of that. You put this in your bag. It looks back. The other two went full magical girl mecha, sherbet plating and stained glass wings, and I regret nothing.
Day 25 · Forest Dragon

Eight forests, one dragon each: bamboo, birch, cloud forest, English oak, mangrove, redwood, regrowth, rainforest. The oak one is standing inside a hollow trunk like it’s a doorway, which for something that size it is. The regrowth one is walking through a burn scar with new grass coming up, and that’s the whole day in one picture.
Day 26 · Paper Dragon

One picture, no alternates, and it’s the odd one out of the whole month. It’s the crease pattern, red and blue folds on white, the flat version of the dragon before anybody folds it. Origami people will get it and everybody else is going to scroll straight past, and that’s fine!
Day 27 · Swamp Dragon

A long grey neck coming up out of flat water next to a stone chapel that is half under it. Fog on everything. Nobody built that chapel expecting the water to rise, and nobody built it expecting this either. The night one is the same swamp with the volume all the way up, teeth and all.
Day 28 · Fairycore

Moth wings, a hung lantern, gold light coming in low. Fairycore goes twee unless you give it a face like this, and then it’s still a fairy tale, just one of the older ones. There’s one in here drinking milk out of a saucer by candlelight, which is the version where you leave it out on purpose and hope.
Day 29 was Eclipse Dragon and it isn’t in this batch. Two left.
Day 30 · Royalty

Straight on, crowned in a fan of gold spines, looking directly out at you. Royalty was the easiest prompt of the month, because a dragon is already a monarch. You just have to point the face at the camera. The one standing over the castle spires is the same idea with the receipts attached.
Day 31 · World Serpent

Continents, ocean and cloud coiled around into a planet, constellations set around the outside of it. The other three are the same thing pretending to be geography: an atoll that’s a coil, city lights that are a coil, an aurora that is exactly where a spine would be. The month opens with a guy in a hat robbing a ruin and closes with the world being a snake. That’s a good arc for anybody!
That’s the month. Back through it:
Smaugust 2026 is hosted on Threads by @myst.does.ai, and the tag is #mystsmaugust2026, which is where the rest of the month lives. Go look at everybody else’s, some of them are unfair.
The best of these are in the Gallery too, under AI Generation. New art most weeks. Follow along on Instagram and Threads, and if you’re new here, Start Here is the map.
